General Motors today announced the official base price for it’s 2011 Chevy Volt
Before the $7,500 federal tax credit, the price is $41,000. After the tax credit: $33,500. The Volt at $41,000 costs $8,220 more than the 2011 Nissan Leaf electric car. The Leaf is also eligible for the federal income tax credit, which would bring the price down to $25,280.
